The Tillamook County Board of Commissioners have scheduled a workshop on Friday, August 5, 9-11 AM, County Courthouse, Hearing Rooms A & B.
The commissioners want to share ideas they have regarding the future of Bayocean Spit as well as listen to reactions and alternate ideas from others in our community and elsewhere.
Anyone interested in the Bayocean Spit should make a point of attending this workshop and both list and comment about this special land mass near our community.
A Cape Meares resident who lives on Sixth Street reported a burglary to the residence that occurred sometime between Sunday, June 26 and Friday, July 1.
A second break-in for a residence on 3rd Street was reported on July 2. No estimate of when this occurred.
In the first break-in electronics plus bicycles were removed from the residence. In the second break-in there was more extensive looting with electronic motorcycles, a DVD player, about a dozen DVDs, and several televisions.
Residents should secure their homes and be on the lookout for unknown individuals who are seen around the community. Be a good neighbor.
