Special thanks to the 18 Cape Meares residents who assisted with the Spring Clean-up at the Cape Meares Community Center on Saturday, April 25. Weeds were pulled, bark dust spread, shrubs trimmed, benches sanded to prepare for staining, and barbecue cleaned.
Tsunami safety in the Cape Meares area has been improved recently through the efforts of numerous persons and agencies in the county and state. Over the next week, two location signs will be installed, one at the 4th Street and Bayocean Road (beach parking lot), and one at the Bayocean Spit parking lot.
The Tillamook County Board of Commissioners scheduled a workshop on Thursday, April 9, at which time they considered a request from the Cape Meares Community Association Board to change the zoning of the Bayocean Spit from RM (Recreation Management) to RN (Recreation Natural).
No, this is not a request for a donation. Instead it’s an appeal for you to attend a workshop meeting of the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners (BOC).
When: Thursday, April 9, 2015, 3-5 PM
Where: Tillamook County Court House,
Conference Room B
The BOC will be considering a request to rezone all properties on the Bayocean Spit that have a RM (Recreation Management) classification to RN (Recreation Normal).
